OpenAI Codex

The Codex CLI, IDE extension and app with typestrict.

codex mcp add typestrict --url https://api.typestrict.ai/mcp
codex mcp login typestrict

The CLI, the IDE extension and the Codex app share the configuration. With an API key instead of OAuth:

~/.codex/config.toml
[mcp_servers.typestrict]
url = "https://api.typestrict.ai/mcp"
bearer_token_env_var = "TYPESTRICT_API_KEY"

To send local files of any kind, use the local server (after curl -fsSL https://typestrict.ai/install.sh | sh and typestrict login):

codex mcp add typestrict -- typestrict mcp

Skills. Codex reads skills from .agents/skills in your repository and from ~/.agents/skills:

git clone https://github.com/typestrict-lab/skills.git
mkdir -p .agents/skills && cp -r skills/typestrict-* .agents/skills/

Codex's sandbox blocks the network by default: allow it for the session, or approve the calls to api.typestrict.ai when Codex asks.
