GitHub Copilot

Copilot in VS Code and the Copilot CLI with typestrict.

VS Code

Run MCP: Add Server from the Command Palette, choose HTTP and use https://api.typestrict.ai/mcp, or:

code --add-mcp '{"name":"typestrict","type":"http","url":"https://api.typestrict.ai/mcp"}'

VS Code asks you to sign in to typestrict the first time Copilot uses it. The local server:

code --add-mcp '{"name":"typestrict","type":"stdio","command":"typestrict","args":["mcp"]}'

Copilot CLI

copilot mcp add --transport http typestrict https://api.typestrict.ai/mcp

Sign in with /mcp auth typestrict, or add --header "Authorization: Bearer $TYPESTRICT_API_KEY". The local server: copilot mcp add typestrict -- typestrict mcp.

Skills

Copilot reads skills from .github/skills or .agents/skills in the repository, and from ~/.copilot/skills:

git clone https://github.com/typestrict-lab/skills.git
mkdir -p .agents/skills && cp -r skills/typestrict-* .agents/skills/
